A4 rebellion
Nice to see a bit of local direct action - a good supply of A4 and a printer is all you need. The Arch Bar in Hulme was closed for some time. Recently it was knocked down, and now there's just an empty plot of land. With The Salutation, Sand Bar, the Ducie, the Junction (to name a few) not too far away, I think Hulme folk are not too deprived of a place to go for a pint or three. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I'm sure there was a bloody good argument for using the property as something else, though. I'm glad The Arch as a bar has gone, and it's a shame some resort to a bit of student-bashing, but it's clear an opportunity was missed to do something constructive with the building.
